About this event

The 2026 Eyes on a Cure: Ocular Melanoma Patient & Caregiver Symposium will be on April 17 through April 19, 2026, in Miami, FL and in collaboration with Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute! Join OM patients and caregivers from across the US for a weekend of in-person learning about the latest news in research and treatment development, OM education, patient support resources and more.


** IMPORTANT: Please note that this event will take place in-person ONLY. We understand that not everyone will be able to attend, so all sessions will be recorded and available shortly after the event. **

Scholarship Application Information

The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) is pleased to provide a limited number of travel scholarships to 2026 Eyes on a Cure: Ocular Melanoma Patient & Caregiver Symposium attendees who demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Registration is required for an application to be considered. If approved, awardees will receive up to $500 for reimbursement of economy transportation (airfare, train, mileage, etc.). The MRF DOES NOT provide reimbursement for non-economy transportation. The MRF will provide hotel accommodation for attendees within a room block at (HOTEL NAME TBA). For dates outside of the symposium, hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the awardee.

Please note, meals and incidentals, including but not limited to the following, DO NOT qualify for reimbursement: food, beverages, alcohol, wi-fi, entertainment (including in-room entertainment such as movies, mini-bar, etc.)

Reimbursement for travel expenses is only available after the conclusion and participation in the symposium. The scholarship deadline is Monday, March 2nd, 2026, at 5:00PM ET. Award notifications will be sent out Monday, March 9th, 2026. Email cureom@melanoma.org for more information.
